this surfing is too hipster

while this editing is far too hip for me, it does have a lot of crappy surfing from my friends and i over the past few months so thats pretty cool

j7 surfboards...

jason feist, who is an incredibly nice and talented guy from CAPE COD, makes some really good surfboards. he is now shaping out of santa barbara and has a big following because his shapes rip the perfect walls of rincon and the dredging barrels of the strand, as well as the small stuff back home. jason was kind enough to offer me a spot on the j7 team and he made me two iiiincredinble boards...i ride a 5'5" ugly stick and a 5'11" situation and they both SHRED with 100% perfect success.

everyone should look at his website j7surfdesigns.com and see how cool his company is, and he makes great boards in the u.s.a. for good prices, which is rare these days...if you're on the lookout for a new board give him a call. he just moved into a newer, bigger shop and is looking to expand his brand and I'm excited to see where he can go

we went back to rincon and had some fun. this is part 1

no, i'm not dead and neither is this blog especially since there has been a lot of surf recently and it has been really good. this was from hercules at home and it was really cold and everything was icy and the water was close to 32 degrees. there will be a video soon

chlorine is cool

chlorine is the new salt. really hard to ride, but really fun once you figure it out.
